Material Co-ordinator (Internal Repair Orders) – Houston

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Material Co-ordinator (Internal Repair Orders). The successful candidate will be based at West Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston and will report to the Materials Manager. The primary function is responsibility for tracking and expediting internal repair orders, coordinating with the production team, prioritizing work, and ensuring internal repairs orders are completed on time.
Essential Duties:
  • Liaise with production team to monitor and track internal repair orders.
  • Prioritize and expedite internal repair orders to meet production demands.
  • Identify options for delinquent repair orders.
  • Measure delivery and quality performance – identify areas for improvement.
  • Upgrade company stock and track / expedite repair work orders.
  • Maintain reports for tracking internal repair orders.
  • Assist the shipping and receiving department as necessary.
  • Provide back-up assistance to the Material Coordinator (sub-contract repair orders) when necessary.
  • All other duties assigned by your Manager.

Education, Experience and Talents:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Good PC skills with working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in similar Materials Coordinator / Expeditor position.
  • Experience in the Gas Turbine or other industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience with Import & Export preferred but not required.
  • Problem solver.

Hybrid (Remote) Work Schedule

9/80 Alternate Work Schedule

All regular full-time employees are eligible to participate in the program. The 9/80 alternate work schedule shall consist of eight (8) workdays of nine (9) hours and one workday of eight (8) hours for a total of eighty (80) hours during two (2) consecutive work weeks. The eight (8) hour workday must be the employee’s working Monday. Under the 9/80 schedule, one calendar week shall consist of 44 hours (four 9-hour days and one 8-hour day) and the alternating calendar week will consist of 36 hours (four 9-hour days and one day off). Employees are not required to participate in the 9/80 program.  Employees can “opt-out” and work the regular work week.

$63,906 – $70,632 salary is dependent on experience
