Inventory Handler

A vacancy has arisen at RWG Inc. for an Inventory Handler in Houston, Texas.

The Inventory Handler reports to Inventory Control Manager and is responsible for the flow of material through the warehouse, kitting area, shipping and receiving departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build kits for stock
  • Stock transfers
  • Cycle Count Stock
  • Process part credits
  • Close shop orders
  • Stock parts
  • Pull and issue parts for engine, field service, parts sales and accessory & component orders
  • Process rollup sheet
  • Store / dispose of scrap parts
  • Process PO receipts
  • Kit material to appropriate racks
  • Load/unload trucks. Perform day-to-day logistical operations, receive and action shipping requests as required
  • Identify logistics issues and implement appropriate resolutions
  • Process shipments per import/export policies, procedures and best practices necessary to ensure compliance
  • Assist and answer day-to-day export compliance questions
  • Work closely with outside counsel and customs brokers to comply with import/export requirements worldwide
  • Prepare and pack all outgoing material for transport
  • Process goods receipts entering the facility
  • Responsible for the Kitting Area including all customer property contained in the area
  • Ensure routed remanufacturing parts/orders are returned to the appropriate racks and the routes are completed
  • Assist Internal /External Customers
  • Have the ability to work Non-Standard/Extended hours when required
  • Perform other tasks as required to support departmental needs

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Requires high level of detail and ability to gather, analyze and provide accurate information
  • Data Entry

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of Inventory processes
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to respond well to questions
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and speak informatively

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Training Requirements:

  • Forklift
  • General Safety
  • Wave (Work Assist Vehicle)

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend and reach; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver components weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under DOT regulations
  • Have no allergies to chemicals or materials used to perform related duties and have no limitations in the use of protective breathing filters, masks and any other protective equipment

  • Safety Glasses
  • Face Shields
  • Ear Plugs
  • Additional PPE may be required depending on the work environment.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in an outdoor and indoor shop environment.
  • Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another
